Writing

Ok, this is the first post I have done asking for advice. So, my aunt and I found this Random House site (U kno, only the most rewarded and famous book publishing company for a bzillion miles) and each year they have this...writing contest. For 'young adults', the requirments for the book are it has to be at least 100 typewritten pages and no more than 224 (i kno, random number but i guess thats why its called RANDOM house lol) and i know i can totally do it. I've written alot of short stories as well as long stories (whether i have finished them or not is a whole other story). Everyone i send my stories to is amazed by them. I even sent it to my relative whom HAPPENS to be a published author with a reality show based on her books and she told me i had a gift. (Plus, as you may have noticed, I am an expert blogger, so that might come in handy).
You may be asking, 'what's in it for you?'. Well, if you win first place, you get $1500 in CASH and a huge advancment toward editors and publishing books PLUS u get a published copy of the story. How's that for a reward?

So do u think i should do it?

Problems

Hey Yall. I have been told that it is not allowing people to post comments and i really dont know why. So if u kno why or can help me plz do. I want people to post stuff but it apparently wont let people so PLZ HELP!

Lululemon- Fashion Fantasy, Supposedly

So, what is it with Lululemon Athletica these days? It seems like everyone who is everyone is wearing it. I mean, sure, those black yoga pants reduce your butt size and make it look 10 times cuter, and the sweatshirts help shape out your torso, but I have recently found some downsides. One; MONEY MONEY MONEY, people. $98 dollars for one pair of pants? One sweatshirt? There is only one thing us smart-spenders can say about this: puh-lease! Two; It's a FAD, people. How do I know this? Well, let's just say one miserable semester of required Home Ec paid off in the long run. (They taught us how to set the table. TABLE SETTING, PEOPLE! You have to agree that's sad)
But on to the point. Because it's a fad, it is going to be way out of style faster than you can earn the money to pay for it. And then, when you can STILL fit in it, it'll just be hanging in your closet- the only comfort is your fancy cloths that you never wear except to wedding and dates and funerals. 200 dollars, waisted. AM I RIGHT? I think so.
(Also, if you are so desperate for popularity that you are willing to waist hundreds of dollars on one outfit, i feel bad for you)

Recording Studios Working Magic

Ok, so exactly why do stars sound so good with their recorded songs on CDs and all, but when the perform for the Grammy's or in real competitions, it sounds totally off key? Thanks to lip syncing, many stars get by when they perform in their OWN concerts and tours, where THEY choose what goes on with the sound on stage. But at the Grammy's? Nope. My theory (and this is just a shout-out...remember: random blog!) is that the recording studios mess up the voices. Who knows what they can do with that stuff? I mean, doesnt it seem weird that it takes almost a year for a star to record one song and put in on an album? We all know it doesnt take that long to actually sing the songs, so their has got to be something else going on. Of course, these singers are still amazing on stage, but you can definetly tell the difference.
Or I just have hearing problems. Comment. YOU TELL ME!

How To Be A Spy- 6 Easy Steps

These things really work...take it from someone who knows.

  1. Practice ways to change your appearance. Now, i dont expect u to be able to look like someone else with only a ponytail, a wad of black makeup, and a bobby pin, but fake glasses and spray tan and hair accessories will do you good.
  2. Create an Alliance- No true spy gets ANYWHERE without trusty back-ups
  3. Practice Lying. The key to spy's success if being able to tell believable lies ALL THE TIME. (Word of Advice- dont practice on ur parents)
  4. Learn to blend. Be that regular girl on the street that no one suspects. It'll help you get by easier.
  5. Create fake identities. Be more detailed than you think you need to be. memorize the facts of the fake person. The point of spying is not doing it right. It's literally living it.
  6. The Classic- Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

Practice these and you will be invincible
