Is Jennette McCurdy the next Taylor Swift?
So, Jennette McCurdy. She is the co star of, according to some celebrity magazine I was reading the other day, the 5th most popular teen show, ICarly. Jennette plays the corky, sneaky, disobedient friend of Miranda Cosgrove's character Carly Shay and Nathan Kress' character Freddie Benson, Sam Puckitt. Even though she can do very unessassary things that get her and her friends into a lot of trouble sometimes, Sam can be a really good friend.
When Jennette got this part, it wasn't the first time she had been seen on television. She was a guest star in one or two shows before ICarly was released, but now she is a super star. When she started to sing songs, this only helped her reputation as a Hollywood girl. I was recently listening to some of her songs and looking at some recent pictures of her, and I was astounded to find her very, VERY grown up country voice when she sung her very powerful and mature songs. It reminds me SO much of Taylor Swift. That's a compliment, by the way. ;)
Also, her curly blonde hair resembles the golden locks of Taylor, and her style is very similar. I'm just saying they sound a lot alike and I'm wondering if Jennette may become the new amazingly gorgeous blonde in-depth country singer Taylor Swift has shown us to be. That's all.
(oh, and i also learn that jennette is friken 18 YEARS OLD. she looks wayyyyyyyyyyyy younger than that. just saying)

Pop Stars of the Late
So yeah that's what I have to say about pop stars. I, on the other hand, will settle for being a successful writer in a paris cafe (and also a graphic designer thatd be fun too). But the truth is I don't know yet. I don't know what I want to be. And neither, really, do the people who become international stars at a ridiculously young age. The only difference: I actually have a choice.

I have a few things to say
One: Last night I saw Steve Carell's new animated movie Dispicable Me. It was cute and well done. My brother was laughing in litterally the first five seconds of the movie. It is a very childish movie, but it was really good. I enjoyed it.
Two: ECLIPSE WAS EPIC!!!!!!!! So good! The best Twilight Saga movie yet! It is full of suspence and is definitely a must-see!!!
Yup, that's all I have to say! Oh wait no that isn't one more thing:
If you are the kind of person that reads a book and then goes to see the movie, you 99% of the time end up with disappointment and you never really like the movie at all. So here is my strategy. Instead of critizing the movie on how it was SO not like the book and being annoying and picking out all the flaws, SEE THE MOVIE AND THEN READ THE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!! So you can say the book was much better instead of saying the movie sucked. And also you actually feel suspense in the movie and don't pay attention to all the little tiny wrong details about it!!! My theory is pretty much flawless. Try it.

You asked for it, you got it. Altho you might be surprised by what you got. :)
First: NO ONE CARES ABOUT POLITICS UNLESS SOME CRAZY KID WITH A BLOG DECIDES TO MAKE IT INTERESTING *cough cough* me!!!!!!!!!!
Second: A lot of political leaders out there think they are so smart and they can handle anything because after all it is their job and they think they are so much smarter than people who don't land the job but here is the bottom line: Most of the time they don't know what they heck they are talking about. Like the BP oil spill? Who said they had it under control? BP and the government. Who hasn't fixed it, basically slaughtered thousands of fishing and boating jobs in the gulf, and thinks that its possible to shoot a plug into a tiny target from the surface that is miles beneath the sea? BP and the government. I rest my case.
And Third: Political figures may be vital to keep the world from chaos, but the truth is that they only rule so much of your life. It doesn't really matter what they say; if you don't agree with it, you have a right to speak out about it. That's why so many people from different countries come to the USA to protest on the streets because they are smart and they know that privilege can't be taken away from them in America. Like once I was driving by the supermarket and dozens of asian people silently protested on the streets because THEY KNEW THEY COULD. Also, lately I have been seeing Iran people holding flags and signs in the downtown area, and people know that by the law no one can stop them from doing it. Even if the political leaders were standing right there watching them, they know the ruler is powerless. America is just another great opportunity for people to express what they feel. And guys, just give politics a rest. You make mistakes sometimes; there is nothing wrong with that. I make mistakes WAY more often than most of you. Sometimes the consequences are large. But never regret anything you do in your life.
After all; we're only human. :)

My Poem
Banjo Man
When I was young, two years ago
My life was just like whirling snow
I never looked back at the past
I never stopped to think and ask
If I had had the chance to meet
That crippled man upon the street
That crippled man without a name
And all of his meal upon his man
He was very messy, quite bizarre
And on his coat: a yellow star
His soul seemed to take wondrous flight
As he played his banjo through the night
The man had no where to reside
As he sat there on the cold curbside
I passed this man for years on end
Never wondering if he needed a friend
But now the German's force us all
To cramp into these tiny walls
And hide from their cruel, ruthless fists
That make sure Jews cease to exist
So I sit in this confined place
Never to see that old man's face
And I wonder if he is hiding, too
And I wonder now, what I would do
If I had had a chance to meet
That crippled man upon the street
Um yeah that's it I hope you like it! =)

Miranda Cosgrove
So, Miranda Cosgrove. She has been acting for who knows how many years and all of her shows have been huge hits. Recently, she has even come out with her own album, Sparks Fly. She looks like she could be my age (that is to say she looks younger than almost-17) and so do her ICarly co-stars, Jennette McCurdy and Nathan Kress (I don't know for sure but I heard that Nathan's mom is the leasing person at my apartment building- I am very convinced because all of her other children look like him) and, over the past few years, she has skyrocketed herself to international stardom.
But, personally, I am not a big fan of hers. I recently bought her knew album to put on my iPod, and I am starting to regret it. Some of the songs are really nice, don't get me wrong (aka Kissin U and Bam) but others, well...aren't my taste.
The idea of all the songs are overused and many I feel like I have heard before (aka Disgusting and Daydream...I found out she didn't even write these songs!) and it just doesn't seem like the lyrics are really hers. I don't get why all of the Nick and Disney idols are all super singers now (Sterling Knight came as a surprise...as did Mitchel Musso) and between their songs, there is no real contrast. In fact, I looked at all of Mandy's songs and every single one of them is about love. Can't people just write about having fun with your life and not always having to go on and on about how you miss someone or how you arent going back to them or blah blah blabbity blah? And a lot of the new singers are trying to sound like other more famous ones: Like Miranda's song Charlie and Miley Cyrus's song Fly on the Wall: TOTALLY Lady Gaga and Britney Spears.
Now, some of the new singers have purpose behind there voice. Take Miranda's co-star, Jennette McCurdy. Even though she didn't write the song, Jennette sung Homeless Heart to a kid named Cody to help him get through some type of illness or something. But whatever it was, it had purpose and that is why I love Jennette. But some of the songs coming out lately seem rushed and/or having only one purpose: to grow the singer's fame. Taking use back to Miranda.
I think she needs to slow down and take her life one step at a time. She's been in Hollywood for so much of her life I don't think she quite understands the real world, and that will be a problem when, ten years from now, she can't sing and people have moved on to new stars, and she will have to go out into the world and live her life.
All in all, I conclude that Miranda Cosgrove definitely isn't superfanastic.

How to De-Dorkify Yourself
In fact, these people don't even deserve to be called popular. See, I'll look up the definition of Popular right now:
pop-u-lar; adjective:: regarded with favor, approval, or affection by people in general.
Are the "populars" really popular? I think not. In fact, more than half of all middle school students LOATH them. OK, I think we can all admit, even though we hate their guts through and through, that a little part of us would die to be besties with them. So here is a tip if you are one of those Gucci-wearing girls blowing kisses to cute guys and shopping at places most people can't afford, here are a few tips.
It's totally OK to be that kind of person with that certain lifestyle, but don't overdo it. Don't be mean to people who aren't like you. DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN YOURSELF.
Sure, it's fun to talk about people behind their backs and everything, BUT PEOPLE ARE SMARTER THAN YOU THINK. Hurting people's feelings makes you the biggest dork on the planet.
Take my advice. School is a democracy. Don't turn it into a mini World War II.

CALLING ALL FASHIONISTAS
Two words: NORDSTROM RACK! Now, most of you are probably thinking right now as you read this 'oh no not there' but trust me. You'd be surprised.
You know that new store (I'm not sure how new it is wherever you live) True Religion? The jeans are super-cute, am I right? But have you checked the prices? $250 BUX for one measly pair of jeans! My favorite pair of jeans that almost everyone compliments were 5 bux.
But leave it to my friend to find a pair at the rack for a fraction of the price! And that's not all. My other friend, who has the cutest messenger bag, says it had a original price of over $400. But she got it for $108!!!! How great are my friends?
So, for all you trend lovers out there who's eyes boggle at store bought prices, head on over to The Rack! You'll be amazed when what you can find!
[Is it ok to advertise other stores online if you like them? Idk. Oh well, what do I know? I'm just a stupid kid who likes to keep her fans updated. Wink wink. ;)]
MATH...Not What You Think
See, the kind of math I like to do is very unusual. But, despite the stupidity factor, it actually makes a lot of sense. If you have a sense of humor. If you don't, why are you reading my blog? This is despicable.
Here is an example of a problem.
LIFE=HAPPINESS=LOVE=BROKEN HEARTS=DEPRESSION=COUNCELOR=SPENDING A TON OF MONEY=POOR=EVEN MORE SAD=NO FOOD=DEATH.
Life equals death. You do the math!

Diary of a Wimpy..., well, a wimpy movie
That's all I have to say about it. Nothing explains it more than ITS A WIMPY MOVIE!
(don't agree with what I said? tell me!)
Guyz- Major UH OH
Now, I'm not writing this to tell you what a guy does when he likes you, because the truth is- I DONT KNOW. Nobody knows, really, except for the guy himself. A wise man once told me that the worst way to decode a boy is to ask a girl. Smart man, he is.
No, I'm writing to tell you about MY experiences and how you can learn from MY actions. And I ONLY tell you facts that work for all guys. Not what if this and how about that.
So, here it goes.
Fact 1; If you ever meet a guy you like, nothing works more than talking to him. Be polite. Don't go too far too early. Again, take it from someone who had to learn the hard way.
Fact 2; Guys change with age. Testosterone kicks in, if you don't mind me saying. Just go with whatever your heart tells you. If he doesnt like you for you, thats his loss, not yours.
Just another random post from the thoughts of MWA!

(Also check out my new polls. they might be farther down the page.)
Vacation Destinations
- Carnival Cruise- Is there ever a better time than in the lush spring? As far as vay-cays go, this is way down on the spending scale and way up on quality. Entertainment, refreshments, fun, and so much more. The ships are exquisite and never ending. Not to mention WAY popular. (To prove it- It took me and my friend who had flown from AUSTRALIA about 10 minutes to run the length of the ship twice at full speed. How's that for never ending?) And BONUS- They recently set up a port in Seattle! They're everywhere!
- Victoria, BC- It might not sound like much and you would probably pick Vancouver over it if you hadnt been to either place, but I personally LOVE Victoria. It is an awesome (and surprisingly close- you take a special ferry from Seattle and you're there in 2 hours) city with beautiful sights. Many hotels are right next to ski jumps and they make the most out of you visit. Also, its a prefect destination for anyone, any time. In the winter, skiers can hit the slopes and at the bottom is a farmers market with authentic canadian murchandise. And, for all those cross country bikers, when the snow melts in the summer, they use the slopes for a mountain bike terrain with wild twists and jumps. Well, at least that was my experience.
- Southwestern Florida: It is just downright beautiful. All the palm trees and sandy white beaches- breathtaking. Go in the fall or spring- never the summer. WAY too hot. And there is literally a mini golf course every 5 miles. It's right on the Gulf of Mexico, and, though the water might be chilly, it is an ideal vay-cay for someone who is tired of rain and cold air. (The air is so humidly fresh there it has a distinct smell)
- DISNEYWORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do i even need to explain this? Or would you rather me shove you down an elevator shaft like they do in Hollywood's Tower of Terror? You tell me. ;)
Whichever you choose, I hope you have fun!

Problems
Lululemon- Fashion Fantasy, Supposedly
But on to the point. Because it's a fad, it is going to be way out of style faster than you can earn the money to pay for it. And then, when you can STILL fit in it, it'll just be hanging in your closet- the only comfort is your fancy cloths that you never wear except to wedding and dates and funerals. 200 dollars, waisted. AM I RIGHT? I think so.
(Also, if you are so desperate for popularity that you are willing to waist hundreds of dollars on one outfit, i feel bad for you)
